Notes

Lena is now an active member of the resistance, in the Wilds of a future dystopian United States. Her first love, Alex, who she believed dead, reappears - sending her emotions into turmoil. Meanwhile, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. The narrative is told from both Lena and Hana's points of view. Suggested level: secondary.
